They need to demonstrate their best efforts in the mighty russian army & gloriously regroup right back to the motherland. Then we will negotiate easing of sanctions in 5 years or so. When we see real change in the Kremlin.

@grinningpinhead3961 As a US taxpayer I'm of the same mindset. I have already given to causes there I believe in. It is just paying into a 'peace dividend'.

@simonf1786 If we are getting all pedantic (and it seems we are), someone in the US is much more likely to claim a region rather than the whole country. I'm a little puzzled about the American label. So are we just going to ignore the other nations in America that aren't the US? I thought the same thing in your original post, Simon. But being a Yank I didn't cringe about it. LOL!!

Of course he is getting mixed messages. Where we say what we want. Putin has dealt in international affairs before. He knows all about it. But he is running around pinning his hopes on every little rumor floating out there. He must really be getting desperate.
