  2. Winter works both ways but the home team normally has the advantage. More telling is all the frostbite reports from last Feb & Mar on the Russian side. Ukraine had problems too but not as many. And I wouldn't have expected the situation to improve. Russians used to be masters of winter warfare. Except when fighting Finland. But those days are probably gone.

  3. Agreed. But even the Russians sometimes learn. Better winter gear might be provided this winter. If I were to bet on it . . . I would say probably not.
