  1. If you want to call it a peak. Sure. I think that part of russia peaked in the 15th, 16th, & 17th century wars of expansion. Of the new russia, they got their butts kick in '94-'96 by a country they almost completely surrounded, had no foreign aide, and was much smaller & more poor than Ukraine. So where are you seeing a 'peak'.

  2.  @seanlander9321  They keep rolling out older & older equipment. A determined foe could keep fighting down to sticks & stones. I think even little putin isn't that determined. He hasn't spoken publically for several days. Which is a BIG sign of weakness for a russian leader. I would say the battle capability for russia has definitely peaked. Given a couple of years they could reconstitute. Which I doubt they will get.
