  1. In our VERY politically correct modern society, Ukraine's stance on wanting all it's territory back with no compromise could be seen as being inflexible, single minded, and very undiplomatic. This is also the primary reason Ukraine has garnered so much world wide support. A war fought for a good reason against evil is never a waste of lives. As many overly empathic people say to try to show disdain for any war. This war is a lot like Gulf War I. A powerful aggressor against a much weaker state. Or WWII which was a war against obvious evil. Ukraine has a short history on the world diplomatic stage. It doesn't know enough to understand you aren't supposed to do what is right, but compromise instead. Hopefully it stays that way. Hopefully my own country can retain a little bit of that naivete as well.
