  1. I think at this point no one fears russia's response. So whatever response we do does need to be proportionate. Even a slight over reaction would be funny. but I don't think called for. I won't even speculate except it needs to be embarrassing for Lord Farquaad of the Kremlin so he isn't likely to try that again.

  2.  @Engie50Limerick  Close . . . Bosporus is closed to warships bound for the Black Sea. I think they can leave all they want. So unless you want to carry a warship over land thru Romania . . . It would be interesting to get some light, fast-attack boats there. Oh well. Never mind.

  3. Turkey wouldn't allow it. I doubt any one in the US would park assets in a hard to reach part of the world. There would be nothing to fear from russia except Chuckles the Tsar's threat of escalation. But he threatens that all the time anyway. The US just won't do it.
