I have been to Poland a few times. Once in 97 when a certain US President was there. I thought I was asking a guard at the airport where I could go to smoke. A very serious guard. I didn't realize he was special forces. DUH!! Presidential visit! After some broken talk he took me to the tarmac & immediately changed from threating to very friendly. You don't wanna mess with the Polish special forces. It was eerie at first.
