He is petty & not too bright but putin does have good survival instincts. If I suspected the FSB was protecting 'Priggy' as their man to replace putin, you know putin himself has thought this. BTW, nothing is sure about Priggy's death. And whatever we learn later will come from russian security services. Even putin may not know.

@Hochspitz Much of it will be paid by russia but I agree, not even a majority. If they hope to sell gas or oil again, half the price will go to rebuild. Many other deals like this will pay some of the damages though.

In the old russian tradition of 'Vranyo' both parties know the story teller is lying. But it isn't playing by the rules if you call them out on telling lies. You are supposed to just nod your head knowingly as they tell their fairy tale. You know they are lying & they know you know. But the story continues. Think of it as a fishing story carried to the max in the West.
