@johnkay4701 As a sufferer of Giardia from pubic water in Krasnodar, not fun. Don't get me wrong, the ones that go into the navy sometimes do learn on their own. No training from the government. Now, reimagine the horrors of those those russian ships going down & maybe 20% can swim. Maybe 20%. Versus maybe 1% of Mordor. Maybe.

There is all sorts of nasty pathogens in their water. So children with rare exceptions, aren't taught. Even naval recruits.
