@ThousandCuts-tb2ej Skabeyeva did a surprising piece on russian state TV by counting obituaries in russia. It wasn't so shocking that they actually showed even more than Ukraine numbers. It was that someone in the russian government allowed the broadcast in the first place. Either putin did wanting to start setting russian expectations (unlikely). Or a very powerful person allowed it with protection from putin.

@MrSlugny I have been to russia many times. And there is a culture called Vranyo. Many of russian households are very honest & never would lie (knowingly). But there are most of the others. I wouldn't say it is a country of liars but many more than a lot of other countries. Trolls are a whole other animal. They are paid to tell whatever they are paid to.

@silversteel3873 The AFU welcomes experience fighters from all over the world. I'm not sure they would want or welcome the numbers you are talking about. Ukraine is good about asking for what they need.

@MrSlugny I don't take offense. We were delivering Oral & Optical care to orphanages at the time. I have a love/hate relationship with the state of russia sometimes. They tolerate 'accommodation fees', Fetal alcohol syndrome in new borns, and many other things no state should force on their own people. But I do like many of the people.
