@BojanBojovic So another war where russia takes a slice then they go back to rebuild & attack again? The 'new'' russia has done this over & over in the last 30 years. Dagestan, S. Ossetia. The 'Stans', twice in Chechnya, twice now in Ukraine, and so on. That doesn't even include all the violent threats made to the rest of the world. Your analysis assumes putin holds on to power & the rest of the world lets it pass. I see russia actually giving up part of it's territory as a 50km 'buffer zone' to guard against future incursion as more likely. I don't think UA wants to administer such a thing so I see it as unlikely too.

If you are the dictator & you know 'throwing in the towel' was death, what would you do? Especially one with a huge ego? The lives of thousands (millions?) of your own serfs is nothing compared to your grand dream. You suppose what would be impossible for the village idiot in the kremlin to conceive. Many partisans died before & many more were executed afterwards. The rest of his lies would take too long to address. Believe his 'Village idiot in the kremlin' rant if you want to.
