  1. I have been in a couple of Khrushchyovkas but not long enough for the atmosphere to really sink in. I do remember the sorry excuse for a water heater. Going some where in the morning you would have to get up an hour earlier just to heat the water. Or just bath at night. No automatic flame at all. Standing there with lit matches trying to get the damn thing lit. LOL!!
