  1. There is a great deal of it's own culture that russia has quashed throughout it's history. Certainly in the communist era but even before that. It will be natural for Ukraine to reject what is russian now. Many will probably over react but there will be a balance struck later on. I would feel no guilt since russia makes a point to say they created Ukraine. To a large extent, it was the other way around.
