  1. I have seen & talked to many russians & I strongly believe that the russian population would be like any other if left in a country without repression for 100 years or so. Free thinkers of the past or people that would rebel against the system have long since been done away with. You give opportunity to education for russians not because they are victims, Anna. You do it because once they see for themselves, their whole world of lies come crashing in on them. Young minds are easily changed. One myth is 'we know we are lied to in russia but it is worse in the West'. Very common thought in russia. It all explodes in their face when the go to German, UK, or Canada. I agree there are no victims of a society that THEY created. This is very important to understand this one small but very important point. Before many sanctions are lifted, it will take some experts a few years touring russia to see if things have changed.
