  1. As much as I sympathize with what you are saying, you are 'tilting against windmills' with the IOC. If you read their Fundamental Principles, you might think Article 2 would cover what you are saying. But IOC are diplomatic, double-talking fools. They want to include all nations in one big kumbaya 'feel good' moment. They are very susceptible to political pressure too. As evidenced with the Chinese Olympics just before the invasion. They will at least let russians compete under a white flag of neutrality. It will be up to the different countries whether to compete or not. Maybe down to the individual athlete. It will hurt France which is hosting them but this has happened in the past. It won't be a disaster if they do go. Imagine the ridicule they get. Imagine the entire country watching as Orcadia wins a gold medal for something. Imagine at the awards ceremony the entire crowd turning it's back to the russian flag. This could be a lot more useful than you might think.
