There may be several russian states to take into consideration after this war is over. I think one condition for the lifting of sanctions (not often talked about) is for russia to rescind it's seat on the UN security council. And if they do break up into 15 or 20 independent countries, the russia seat can be considered vacated anyway.

@tomdixon1213 I might even suggest no country should have veto power. Strip the UN down to the international diplomatic 'beauty show' it was always meant to be.

@j.a.b.nijenhuis8124 1. I don't see how. They themselves talk about it al the time. 2. USSR 1989 - 1991 3. A dysfunctional russia is a danger to the world. And no more a threat to her people that what they have now. 4. Russia already split up. Only after great effort, was brought back to a loose conglomeration. And once the powerful governors were brought to heel, do you have what you have now.
