Poor people. They think China is their ally. The world is a harsh place when you find out things are not as they seem.

I have been to Russia a few times. It is an interesting place. The people we stayed with first time were very nice (mainly because we were paying them). On the third trip the people were genuinely very nice. Very much like any in Europe or the Americas. All trips I was surprised (shocked?) at the talent of street musicians in the bigger cities. I was very shocked at the condition of roads in the rural areas. Some others of our group had different experiences elsewhere. Very poor places, not like if you are a tourist.

@Илья-у1ю As someone from the US, I know how jealous I am of those living in russia. 😁*Pinky to lips & gives my best Dr. Evil pose*
24
@kastus77 Sure kastus. Anything little putin tells you to say, there Bud. LOL!!
8
@dimaskad Nor would you. Two NATO countries having a conflict would not involve NATO at all.
7
@kastus77 Right . . We will see how that theory pans out for you when chine invades the far east. 🤣
7
Some are so clueless
6
Just a thought . . . Have the ones you interview wear masks & some might be more up front in what they think. You may also want to get some of your viewers emails & give to a close friend. In case you are taken in for an 'interview' by the authorities. If you are gone more than a day, international complaints to Russia may get you out of a bad place. But stay safe if you can.
6
@dimaskad Write it in Greek, Dima. That last comment doesn't make sense.
6
@dimaskad Picking sides with two NATO allies fighting each other, has nothing to do with a soon to be NATO member & the anti NATO russsia. Maybe I still don't understand what you are saying. Never mind.

The Researcher is EXCELLENT!! He doesn't post often but it is top notch when he does. Thanks Daniil for posting this one.

Poor guys. Some of them really aren't aware of what is going on. So sad.

Yakov Smirnoff had a joke about the USSR. 'Russians don't go looking for a party, the party comes looking for you'. Very funny of course but it could be applied to 'If you aren't interested in Politics. The Politics will just come to rule over you'. Have a say in who rules over your life. As far removed as you try to make yourself from your country, you are it's product & your country is a product of it's people.
4
I want you & your people to watch out for yourselves. I see times of growing recriminations coming. You would be too easy a target for many.
4
In Russian it is roughly said . . . Дело не в том, что зло побеждает добро. Дело в том, что хорошие люди будут сидеть и ничего не делать, пока зло бесконтрольно бушует.
4
2:08 'I don't know why few Russians return from other countries...' That is a mystery, isn't it? Oh well . . . I'm sure the state media will have an answer if enough people ask the same question. LOL!! You are too a liar. Too funny!

Denis is a good guy. We don't always agree. He is young without a lot of life experience. But he does have a channel well worth watching. At least to see if you like him.
3
@Эдгар-ф4и If you aren't aware of it already. I doubt I can explain.

@elijaholdgameskingdom6794 I have been to Russia several times. I don't expect any of the friends I have there to chance prison time. But when a new time comes in Russia, I do expect them to speak up against corruption, aggressive stances, giving unlimited term limits, and the many other egregious things that run rampant in Russia to be spoken out against. All of this could have been done in the past, before an authoritative leader would have 'clamped down' on them. Yes, there are many good people in Russia . . . That are far to accepting of governmental over reach. One of the precepts of self government is you ARE responsible for what your country does. There are things that anyone that loves their country, would gladly go to prison for.

3
Fascinating they almost all thought they wouldn't lose. One lady hinted nuclear war but didn't say she thought they wouldn't lose.
2
I won't say what I really think. I like your channel because I get insight to the other side. Just to say I'm pro Ukrainian. I did find the perfect meme if Homer Simpson was ask to fight for Russia. LOL!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lPJ9J-6vDw
2
The guy that loves vodka is classic. Loves Russia but then again, maybe he hates Russia too. But he hates all the other more. Perfectly said. At least he is honest to himself. I remember those roads in some areas too. GAWD!! They were awful.
2
@nalcow I think you need a population bred over generations to be receptive of it. All nations fall for subtle propaganda. Very few except wholesale lies all the time. It will improve over time.
2
I have to agree about Navalny. But Sergei Furgal would be an excellent President. Assuming putin wouldn't have had him arrested. Furgal got a little too close to putin's friends investigating corruption.
2
"There's only one Russia". Fortunately there will probably be many of them before long. 🤔
2
People are pretty forgiving all over the world. There are cases of Russian lovers & haters at any time. The majority now are seeing the common Russia as wanting to live life but allowing their government to do anything they want without protest. Excluding now when it is illegal, there were no massive protests during the invasion of Georgia. Or during the first & second Chechen wars, the first & now second invasion of Ukraine. Even when Putin got the constitutions changed to make himself 'President for Life' I heard of no mass marches. For the average world citizen, there is a growing mistrust of Russia. The 'hate side' is growing rapidly also. Please link YouTube videos about massive protests & outrage inside Russia at any of these events. I would actually love to be proved wrong on this unflattering point of view.
2
@lizzagrant5662 And the YouTube video link is . . . Normally 1000 protesting isn't that many but lets say 1000 in ten different cities. Give them the benefit of the doubt.
2
@lizzagrant5662 BTW, Friends have told me there were protests in all these cases. Tiny things in a few cities that could easily be dismissed as 'malcontents'. Compare that with other countries that would mob the streets if their term limits were suspended.
2
Well, of course, if Europe gets rid of the US then they have no problem. 😅
2
And she is a political scientist? So sad.
2
I already subscribe to The Researcher. I like his 'talking heads' & the way he presents a subject in an easy to understand format. Good shout out for other people to watch. It may be devastating to Siberians when then find out the truth. If they ever do. They have so many weird views about the outside world. The countries I have been to nobody does these things. Lots of people hate the US so they will have to stand in line. 🤣
2
If they don't believe 100k killed & wounded, they sure won't believe the real number. They will find out after all this is over.
2
Good video but you take care.
2
@DanBolton-my9bx Sure Boris. Anything you say there, Bud. LOL!!
2
@elijaholdgameskingdom6794 Wrong example. Granada would be a better example. As it turned out, the President was right. But that had a chance of being like Russian in Ukraine. But there were no atrocities. In Afghanistan 2001 there was full approval by the UN security council. Many in the OECS were consulted on Grenada but the President basically went in on his own. Even though they did not over throw the government they did free political prisoners. Queen Elizabeth & some local governments did confirm a new president shortly after.
2
I watch Vasya already. Stay in the cities. Maybe do some smaller cities? Don't go to any extra trouble. Just when you are there.
1
@JS-ip8xm A few had the situation right.
1
Interesting . . . That is quite a range of opinions. From the quite sane (on both sides) to the narcissistic then on to slightly delusional. Glad I stop by to watch your videos sometimes.
1
'He must have done something good in the beginning ... to placate the people'. Russia has set up a 'social contract' between it's government & people shortly after the reign of terror by Joseph Stalin. Not too many people are starved or sent to gulags. Basically stability & some prosperity for the population. The the population doesn't ask too many questions & stays out of politics so the government can do as they please. And to a degree it has worked. If the ruling class were a gangster mob it would be called being paid a bribe.
1
Thought one guys had a clue but then drifted off into the Land of Oz. Of course, many that wouldn't explain further know exactly why. 🙂
1
Looting & destroying seems to be a part of their psyche, I guess it would be natural for them to project this onto the West. Not even thinking there is not any desire like that. At worst (and it is pretty bad) the West will treat them as not existing at all.
1
Propaganda is strong with some. I'm not sure it is total naivete. In visiting a few times, they believe their state propaganda lies. They just think other are much worse.
1
Wait . . . There must be some misinterpretation here. Did the guy at 2 minutes 15 seconds really say what his government decides is none of his business? Tell me there is some nuance that was missed saying it in English, right? Because if he did say that, it is worse than all the others saying they favor their government's actions. At least they take a stand. (Watching it again) Wish I knew what he really said. That would be a face/palm moment. One of the fundamental tenants in self government. You are represented by them. Or maybe he thinks he is some helpless leaf blowing on stormy waters. Just give in because there is nothing he can do & it is none of his business.
1
Actually foreigners say it is the 3rd army of Ukraine since a new amateur rocketry club opened in Kyiv. LOL!!
1
I do sometimes feel that way too. Hard to leave a like for the nonsense left. But Daniil needs the support.
1
Of course putin didn't do it!! ~ Wink, wink, nod, nod ~ He had no reason to do that! ~ except putin hated him ~ LOL!! And aren't you ashamed of being a CIA operative, Daniil? You be careful. I can see the government taking revenge on you too.
1
You know that the outside world will need insight into Russia in coming years, Daniil. The international community will need to know when to lift sanctions on Russia. It might be a good opportunity for an enterprising young man to help his country & to make good money (really good money) as a consultant to international organizations. I'm sure you have already thought of this.
1
Little putin must have one huge sieve in his federal prison system for letting CIA operatives through to kill Navalny. Or someone high up is taking bribes.
1
The natives are a bit restless. You guys take care out there.
