The design is so modern, looks on par with contemporaries from 10 years later. Like you mentioned not 2 minutes in to the video. This is a great design, and a great car. And a great video bringing it all together.

That flateplane sound is something else. I enjoy a V8 rumble just as much as the next guy, but that flat plane whine is something else and really pushes its way into ferrari territory. Ferrari may no care, but they will notice this car. I am very happy GM did the C8; while it doesn't appeal to me, i respect that it is an engineering masterpiece and is an amazing machine for what it is, especially in the Z06 guise.

I like the fact that there is no silly plastic cover across the engine. You can still stick your hand in there if you want to.

@Krisisawake That wasn't LCD, that was vacuum fluorescent.

Effortless electric torque is highly addictive. It isn't even about the power top speed, it's just the immediate response to your right foot, at any speed. Something you immediately notice that is missing when you return to your ICE based car.

Many cars from the 80s had electronic displays. Not in the way newer cars now are using what are essentially computer displays to show dynamic data, but nevertheless they did have them. LCD itself was less common, as most manufacturers preferred to use the greenish vacuum fluorescent displays. My family owned an 87 Honda Accord which had a white LCD.

That car just oozes class and elegance. I'd be too afraid to drive it unless I was wearing a tux.
39
The Goldilocks Azure. Modern enough, yet like you said, it's got the old school vibes. The final iteration. You need to sell the M5 and get one of these.
36
GM is seriously killing it with their current line up. 40 years ago, the Suburban was a truck with a roof, the 6.2 diesel sounded like a tractor and was about as fast, and the Range Rover was king. Screw Range Rover today, I'll take this any day of the week.
34
man it reaches 60mph way too quickly. i mean you hit it just as you straightened the wheel after pulling out. that is just insane.
32
To answer that, tell us honestly, was that drive even 1/10th as enjoyable as it would have been had you been on the track? It's a great car, but like you've said many times, no fun until you're pushing it way beyond legal speeds. I would say GT3 Touring, honestly.
29
@Krisisawake digital isn't just LCD. Remember the green displays in Buicks and Cadillacs? Those are digital displays which use vacuum fluorescent displays instead if LCD.

15 year old ferrari looks so timeless and still so relevant. i've always considered this an exercise in minimalist aesthetics that will carry over into the future just fine. I mean that interior still looks so good, so functional. It very much reminds me of the S2000 interior.
25
that turbo lag might be aided by what sounds like a pretty heavy fly wheel. the rev hang sounds insane. Edit: and you mention it literally 10 seconds later.
23
I've seen this on BaT. You need to buy this car. You know you want to. I'm so glad that you're into hot hatches. This is the exact reason why I own my Toyota Starlet GT. Darting through traffic, taking corners without slowing down, that's where the fun is.
22
Gotta watch some videos from the middle east.
21
He wanted a better look, that's for sure. I've gone out of my way to allow interesting vehicles to pass me so that I can take a closer look.
19
I've always liked it. I think the Need for Speed game probably polarized me a little towards it, but honestly I saw it for what it was even in 2000. It was the only direction in which the 911 could progress in. Really don't care about the headlights et al, only the IMS bearing worries me.
16
Yo that soccer mom in the red SUV got way too close.
15
wait, that was the Topher? lol
13
W140 for me.
10
I appreciate how careful you are when deploying that rear tray. Other reviewers would have just pulled it out carelessly, like that guy who wears shorts all the time.
10
Most optimistic speedo ever, even in km/h.
8
You know what this means right? You influenced the price of Bentley Azures with your previous video and all the insta posts!
7
In our minds we all knew the bangle butt wasn't as ugly as everyone was making it out to be.
7
First JayEmm, and now you, both within a few hours.
7
My first car after I landed state side. The turbo had just arrived and I was bouncing between the previous Cobalt SS and the Neon SRT 4. Barely had enough money on me at the time, but I made it work somehow.
7
The modern NSX.

Swappable traction packs. True, range will be less, but who cares when you can swap in a new pack in 5 minutes? You won't need the regulatory compliances, licenses, etc, etc for a fuel pump, which means even a local grocery store could undertake charging and swapping packs with minimal investment. Imagine 0 range anxiety, because the next shop may not have a fuel pump, but will be sure to have a fresh, or at least a somewhat usable battery pack. Doesn't even matter if they're only capable of holding a 60% charge. I could go on and on.

This video is almost ASMR. I nodded off around 5:30. Granted I'm tired from being on my feet all day, but still. The car changed my mood.
6
If it wasn't a real Ferrari, it would still have been a gorgeous Fiat sports car.
6
Bro in the blue truck saw jack-o-lantern pulling up and yielded immediately.
6
Prettiest looking Corvette imo.
5
Sunbeam Tiger
5
One of my most favourite Italian coupes ever! So happy you got to drive it!
5
I really enjoyed this. You need to do more city driving stuff.
5
GT2 RS, because why stop at the GT3? Both require a track to garner the full experience. Might as well go for the car that is more likely to kill you while you aim for maximum sh*t eating grin.
5
I'll take a diesel one in brown. Only manuelle will be lacking but wagonne covered.
5
Do the upshift "BRAP"s feel like you've lost a piece of the car, every time you hear it?
4
But they did kill off the Panamera Sport Turismo though. And given the dwindling sales numbers of EV, I have a feeling this model won't be around for much longer either. And then a few years down the line these will become a cult favourite.
4
@TedwardDrives The piped in sound is very Forza Horizon, not gonna lie.
4
@SM-1010 it's clear the sound is digitally created, you can hear from how the pitch changes.
4
60 in 3rd is crazy!
4
Such a cute little Alfa. This and the 105 coupes are up there for me.
4
OCD triggered, there was still more dirt under that left tail light...
4
well their new Lightning isn't really a Lightning either.
3
Look at those hood shutlines. Why can't BMW and Mercedes do this? The new hoods are some of the derpiest ever.
3
so the engine behaves like a diesel. basically.
3
uh oh. You said "qUiRkY". I am worried for you now my friend.
3
Did he have to use the siren?
