  1. This happens in the US. The Forestry services' main task is managing forests as agriculture. There are of course many companies involved in industrial timber, for example in Southeastern Virginia, the native Longleaf Pine and its pine savannah ecosystem has been nearly wiped out and replaced by faster growing Loblolly pine. Endangered species have lost habitat that has been replaced with industrial timber and it is STILL GOING ON.
