I really can see why remainers need fom to move countries your thick as two plank. Counties with smaller populations than the uk with higher unemployment rates, Sweden, Finland, Spain, France.   14.  @markshirley01  so the uk could stop freedom of movement then? Funny that one of the things the uk wanted to do was to make sure all eu people were treated the same as none eu people. Ie that they paid in and we’re not entitled to any bens for 5 years and the eu said no. If the uk controlled everything why could they not make this happen.

  17.  @markwelch3564  when you treat your own people worse than another person from the eu then you will get issues, I remember a Brit mate tell me in hk I have eu on my passport but when I move home my Japanese wife will need, English tests a visa, pay for the nhs surcharge, where as my French mate will move with his Nigerian wife and they won’t need any visas. No nhs surcharge and have recourse to bens. That is wrong they you treated one eu person different to another. If you don’t see that then there is something wrong. In the USA we will not allow a us citizen to be treated worse than the French, Germany, British. Person. Why do you vote to make yourselfs 2nd class citizens in your own country.

This should apply only to new claims made by EU workers in the host Member State. However, as from 1 January 2020, all Member States may extend indexation to existing claims to child benefits already exported by EU workers. The Commission does not intend to propose that the future system of optional indexation of child benefits be extended to other types of exportable benefits, such as old-age pensions;

  24.  @welshgit  maybe try reading this from the bbc not the guardian, I’m American and I can see the eu took you for a ride on the promise you uneducated Brits will get to retire in Spain. You do know to work in most eu countries you need to know the lingo that puts most of you Brits out of work there and they won’t allow you to claim bens. So you lost the fom that most of you cannot use anyway. What to treat eu people better than your own people. Really who would vote for that.

Yet the only country in the world for wanting to be like 180 countries is now jingoistic. Can I ask why the other 180 countries in the world are not? Can I also ask why you think 26 white eu countries should be treated better than the other 180 countries in the world. Can I also ask why you think it’s right to treat British citizens worse than eu citizens coming back to their own country. All because you want the fom that you will never use.
