I use to keep squirrels, i always felt a good sense of achievement when the one i was looking after went to the wild & never came back. A few came home to have their young. Or bring the family over as if to say “its safe here” It’s wonderful

same as we humans.. in fact its actually healthier to remain hungry. it keeps all of your body's systems working hence why intermittent fasting is so powerful! Just through fasting alone we lose weight, normalize, and reverse conditions that we take pills for. so nothing wrong in remaining hungry. Wild animals are always in a state of hunger it's what keeps them alive. It's only animals in captivity that become fat and unhealthy.. like most pets. I would go as far as to say that any owner who allows themselves or their pets to become fat is treating themselves or their pets poorly. which depending on where you draw the line is a form of abuse. ... we treat our selves to sugary garbage which contributes to illness poor focus and general unwellness as a treat.. and see healthy foods as a chore or a duty that most people pass off with a "I deserve this I have had a hard week" excuse and then eat crap like Pizza again or junk snax.. we then put that same attitude onto our pets. not to mention that most of us hardly move and our bodies stiffen up from lack of use. instead of moving, we find a way to manage the deterioration of our bodies. and then use that as an excuse as to why "xxx" is not possible... when in fact we are just lazy. this is self abuse but it goes un checked. sure it was sad that they were locked up and tested on. but there are far worse things happning and normalized.

it looked more like the cats that had been given love and since there were no staff there daily. I have seen some troubled cats and none of these looked hard done by. they may have been tested on and that in of its self is not nice. We get the same treatment in our foods and "medicines" seems like hes adapted waaaay faster than troubled animals do. But aside from that you got a friend for life! and a nice one at that!
