I have a base model Mac mini M1 8gig, I make music for myself, but in no way am I limited by that 8gig with music that I make.. I’m not using massive amounts of sample libraries, which obviously will eat up more ram. I can load projects that used to take 16 gigs of ram on my Intel Mac, and still I have headroom with no more than 45% ram pressure and safari with five tabs open YouTube Twitch et cetera does hard drive, reading and writing in logic with a 16 GB project. So, unless no you desperately need that 16 gig, 8gigs are more than plenty, even for a semi professional working with audio…

I was part of the very first group of jailbreakers when the iPhone/iPod touch first launched. I spent the first year not really using the device for what it could do it was all about the setup. after a while I was so bored of "customising" I just like it simple and clean! One of the first things that put me of android, just like windows to many settings and less function. am I thrilled for this... Nope.

@EdgeLie Lets hope they do and soon! Everyone gets mad at apple for doing things but NEVER complain when the other companies follow suit. What Apple is doing with their integration is nothin short of incredible. Nvidea is doing the same as Apple for their servers.. The sooner people stop thinking about potential upgrades and think about moving forward the less waste there will be. We are long past the time where keeping the same computer for long enough to upgrade it is valid. for 80% of the world what they buy is what they use until they upgrade. while not manufacturing separate RAM, GPUS, Logic boards, Wifi cards, BLuetooth Cards... and all the other adaptors and attachments we will reduce E-Waste WAY more than cables manufacturing. E-Waste doesn't care what plug the cable has.

@Redmerkur and look at what they have done with the M chips that is nothing short of Phenominal. You know what they have a loyal user base? Becasue their products perform as expected until the end of their life. the OS is so much better than windows, any one can use it. They have an interconectability like no other... their tech acts like you expect tech to act and it does it wonderfully.. I have constant issues with my PC... all the time.. the things that are meant to work decide not to one day. then I have to trouble shoot. For unknown reasons the settings app crashes on launch over and over.. then I have to restart the PC to change a volume setting in the settings.. and many more silly things that make the every day experience resentful.. and after spending $4k on this thing and have only 8 programs installed that are required for work it acts up. I have been using the mac more for work even tho compared the the PC its a little slower because when I start it up and use it... it works for me. Thats why. For 20 years of using Macs I have had 3 issues. all my friends using PC's have ether HAD to reinstall the system because of a official update to a program. where a back up is required prior to system updates because you never know.. I updated the one macs system for 15 years.. it only crashed 3x My PC has had over 50 BSOD in the last 2 years. because of?? well no one knows because the error codes are always the ones that there is no answer for.. Thats why apple are a success. the shit they make works. it may not be the best but it won't let you down. and they set trends.. soo every computer will have fixed RAM as x86 will be phased out thanks to apple showing people that there is another way. People don't like change and ALWAYS want backward compatibility... this is FAR worse for landfill than what apple are doing..

@SuperHornetX & yet when you want different detail for your car & its & extra $1000 no one bats an eye lid. if you don't like it & can't afford it don't buy it. same as buying organic items at the store. people brag about it.. while being ripped off for false advertising. Apple are giving you fantastic products that do have a premium.. so do many things. PC's charge you less & you have to deal with other issues. what's you time worth? I would rather go hassle free & pay a bit more. you get what you pay for. & you buy what you can afford. for the record I have both Mac's & PC's the PC is always having something that takes my time to deal with & cost 2k more..

@johnnyc.31 I had a bit of Aluminium machined to fit something for a job I was on.. it was about $600 & the stand being $400 is not all that bad for the work & function! its still crazy for a monitor stand. but you know if you can afford it its all good right! its only a problem when yo udon have the budget to afford your tastes, or buy everything on credit

This is all just stupid.. Android just need to step up & create its own ecosystem system.. We could take this same argument to restaurants. I hear this all the time. People say android is better because you are not locked in. But they do t have the same integration because they are so open! Tim Cook is right if you want that function get her an iPhone. They are simpler & will be less headache for her.. I am so sick of this bitching. Apple make fully integrated stuff. That’s what they are amazing at that! And I hate this argument from android users that it’s not fair because they’re in a walled garden or what stopping them? I’m in a PC has the ability to connect with every other piece of hardware because nothing in the most specialised android phone to the same and still in all these years there’s nothing from the android side That even gets close to the Apple integration… So instead of bitching at Apple for having a monopoly why don’t they create their own awesome integration garden? That makes people go? Oh my God this is amazing. This just seems like another brick wall because of what Apple does. And they are holy light company.. But when they change something the rest of the industry follows because they do things right
