Polish vessel shot one salvo and made a quick turn, escaping into the darkness of the night from the German potential heavy guns salvo. It was a more psychological approach rather than military action because ORP "Piorun" main order was to shadow this German monster, but not to fight without any chance. For sure that way, Poles increased German blood pressure, showing them, that you can rollover the Polish soil, but not Polish soldiers, even when the ratio is 40:1, like in the battle of Wizna or Westerplatte in September of 1939 <<<<
