A nearby place where I am living in Canada, Ontario, around 25 km from my place., it was a POW camp for the German officers, mostly pilots of Luftwaffe, and U-boats commanders from U-bootwaffe of the Kriegsmarine. Once, it was a riot of the POW's there !!!!  I do not know the actual reason for it. >> Moreover, it is an interesting very much fictional story, which was published in 2010 as a novel, written by American author Charles McCain from Washington, DC. It is a story of the German officer, U-boot commander, who was being captured in Atlantic battlefield and sent to the POW camp located in Texas. It is a very interesting story about his service at the sea, and then his attempts to escape and to mingle inside the society of the United States of America. I can recommend everybody who likes the subject of this video, to read it !!!! The title of the novel is": >>>> "An Honorable German" <<<<
