@4:30. If amagi hadn't been destroyed. Does that mean no earthquake and therefore thousands, tens of thousands didn't die/be displaced/suffer. Just a thought on how "what if" questions are a bit daft unless really pointed. The disaster that damaged amagi may have killed the Japanese bloke who was teller/Oppenheimer/Einstein/Bobby axelrod all rolled into one and the Japanese cornered the world market and build the a bomb, conquered the world and then solved fusion power. All by 1940...........

@tominiowa2513 do you have any pointers towards the evidence you mention? Books or articles. Doesn't matter if they are in Japanese. I've never read anything that suggests more than some basic experiments at university level is all. Any info on a weapons program would be interesting. From what my Japanese friends are saying at the moment. It's not much of a compensation right now. Apparently they've been having lots of micro quakes causing havoc for the last year or two. One caused a landslide that buried my mates race car. He'd spent 8 years and lots of his earnings on it :(

@tominiowa2513 I knew about the small amounts of uranium transfer. But the fact they used normal type submarines demonstrates how little Germany sent to Japan. I've still seen no evidence that indicates Japan had a nuclear weapons program. Only basic research. I've reached out to a couple of friends in Japan who are interested in or study history. They said they hadn't heard of anything (nothing in their general knowledge). But they would try and find Japanese sources. The history of post Tsushima Japanese history is becoming more popular there. Much less taboo. So if such a thing did exist. Then we'd expect it to be 'popular' knowledge by now (as in the sort of thing amateur historians would know about). I didn't know that. No wonder!
