I've been reading a fantastic history book. Called the rise and fall of the third Reich. * Written in 1956 it's interesting to note the explanation of several turning points before the cracking of enigma was known. For example the turning of the battle of the Atlantic was entirely put down to radar. Taken in its context and time it's an excellent book. And it's interesting to learn history from a book that's from our history. *Can't remember the author name at 2.20am and with a head full of election results. N.B. the book shows a sad leftover of history. The author discussed the Holocaust with the horror you would expect. But had no problem discussing homosexually and considering it unacceptable. A very strong and strange juxtaposition.
