@dogwalker666 random pick from all that. I've been to loch Ness. I couldn't find anyone who seriously thought there was a prehistoric monster in the lake. Even the lady that sold me a cushion for my grandma. It's treat as what it is. A nice story that's good for tourism. It scares that crap out of me that other similar sorts of things are taken much more seriously. And that people actually get worked up over it. I wouldn't be worried. But it seems many of these people believe in a god and have access to legal firearms in their country. Because the ability to easily kill people, plus a base of irrational beliefs. together with the idea that others are your enemy has never caused a problem before....

@chrishayes5755 why do philosophers have a logical explanation that is better than 'scientists'? Isn't that apples and oranges. Philosophers a looking for or providing meaning. People who study the sciences are looking for proof that confirms or discards a theory. No more or less. I don't see why one displaces the other anymore than being able to drive a car means you can no longer walk.

I was brought up a Catholic. I am now an atheist. Ironically this happened after years of using YouTube as a springboard to learning. Slowly seeing more and more comments and then videos from irrational people who made me question my beliefs. People who believe in flat earth, ghosts and Kent hovid. Eventually it just got too much. I questioned their beliefs. I questioned my own. I now don't believe in any god man can name. And I've never been happier. I guess internet crazies have a function after all 🤣

@dogwalker666 what baffles me is that there are creatures that are not dissimilar to thoes that roamed the deep before humans existed. It's amazing... Literally wonderous. And pictures of them don't look like a blurred sock puppet.

@dogwalker666 I'm not sure how far back it goes you know. It's not very well populated now. Going back much over 100 years and I doubt many people lived there at all. Not that that makes a dot of difference of course. I remember stories about Bodmin bog man and the Moors tiger when I was little. Scared the wits out of me. I don't think either have a tourist industry tho 🤔😅
