That's a lot of theory from just a scar on a foot. He could have dropped his suitcase on his foot in the airport before going to NK 😂. I've no doubt he suffered and was probably abused and I'd not be surprised if he was tortured. But imagining xyz happening based on a tiny detail is just silly

But he broke the law. We may think it's a silly law. But he went to a different country and broke their laws.

Not nothing. The American president went to and shook hands with the North Korean dictator and smiled for the cameras. That's what America did (obviously I'm not American, this is what the rest of the world saw happen anyway)

@austindrake4697 who mentioned the middle east?

How could he tell what happened if he was basically in a coma? That makes no sense

It's part of legal principle. Obviously they won't get anywhere with it. But the implication is that if you don't take a legal recourse that's available to you. Then you aren't challenging what's happened and as a result defacto condone it. It's silly. But that's the theory anyway. Plus it gives lawyers something to do 😂

@thegoat11111 well he could go to North Korea and shake Kim's hand and smile for the cameras. Oh Wait... No that would be a morally bankrupt thing to do that would make the USA look like a laughing stock to the wider world.

Who was?

He was president at the time wasn't he?

Who? Why?

He did do something wrong. He broke the law. I mean this is exactly what I'd expect to happen in this situation.

Well I suppose he did cosy up to Kim nicely. Good way to avoid war. Mind you. NK maybe an evil dictatorship. A horrible place. But they have 0 interest in a war with the USA and definitely don't want a nuclear war. They aren't stupid. They know they'd loose. The USA has what, just under 4,000 nuclear weapons. Most on missiles that can't be defended against. North Korea has maybe 10 weapons and the delivery of them isn't exactly reliable. If they wanted to strike a USA city they'd probably put one on a cargo ship. In otherwords. North Korea would be destroyed utterly and completely. The USA would just need to decide how much they'd bounce the rubble around. Where as the north Koreans might manage to set off a low yield bomb on a cargo ship in one port... Which is of no interest to Kim anyway because he'd be dead and unable to enjoy his power and lifestyle. I'm not sure why the us public is so easily convinced that such a war is likely in any situation... I assume it's all about justifying defence spending. But there you go.

@legendaryblood1937 what is "plenty"? Because defence analysts generally agree it's less than 10. And they haven't perfected the technology for genuine ICBMs.
1
Your totally right about what NK is. But at the end of the day. He was an adult who broke the law in north Korea. If I went to Washington and decided to squat down and empty myself all over the Lincoln monument, then punch the police that came to arrest me.... I'd expect to be put in prison. That's what happens when you brake the law.

What's him being white got to do with anything? To North Korea he was American. It wouldn't have mattered if he was white, black, yellow or purple. He wasn't supposed to be where he was or doing what he was doing and he was American.

You can't know what the patient was going through at the time. If someone is in serious pain (physically and or mentally) it can often be the correct and humane thing to do; to provide sedation. To do otherwise would be crule.
