@HighPeakAutos I wouldn't worry. That "cup holder" is for when you park up and pour you and yours a lovely brew from your thermos. They are not cup holders as we have became used to in the last 20 years. So your comments in the video are 100% on the ball

Most importantly. The k was (and indeed still is) an incredibly light engine. I had an mgzr 1.4. Circa 100 bhp and did a t series turbo or "tomcat" engine conversion. Around 210-230hp..... Around my local track* the t series beat the k. But not by much and the T series had a 620 LSD. Without that LSD I think the k series with half the power would be the quicker car.... An engine well ahead of its time.

Its worth noting (as your comments suggest you've not had a f or tf for some time). That the subframes, especially the front ones are iorn Cancer breeding grounds. And worse, removing said subframes usually involves 1 or more snapped bolts. Which are stuck in the cars shell. With really rotten access. I recommend tea in large quantities and a dirty book to learn new aware words. Once you've used all the ones you already know about......... Many times Side not. F or TF..... Mega bang for buck. And for most people a better choice than an mx5

@4:40 minor correction. Both exhaust tips worked. Neither were cosmetic. The RH one had a valve that opened based on revs iirc. Just like contemporary 6cyl BMWs. On my MGTF back in' day. I made both exhaust tips work all the Time. Just needed a self mapping screw in a vac line at the RH tip. Same "fix"/mod worked on BMW and other cars at that time

@flanners41 hmm my TF didn't have an electronic control. Just a pressure operated valve that opened one exhaust tip after a certain amount of gas flow. So a self tapping screw made it permanently open. The valve looked a lot like a mechanical turbo actuator

@HighPeakAutos have to disagree with top dog motors. Its 4 am so if either top dog or hpa would like me to clarify then is be happy to. Just CBA typing unless you'd like to hear my geekiness

@1:20 .... Why I put a Honda VTEC engine in mine... Best part of a decade a go now

@HighPeakAutos before seeing nicks comment. I basically covered the same thing. However. Disabling it didn't grant any extra bhp or nm. I used to cut open oem back boxes. Remove x amount of noise dampening. Then weld em up. The design just couldn't and didn't gain performance from the idle exhaust tip mod
