Rather than call this man "British" who speaks like someone "British". Have a Google to hear how people from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and all parts of the UK speak. There is no such thing as a British sounding person 😅. I'm from NE England and I have to talk slowly in the south of England or people don't understand me. 😂

@jessebianchi2631 I've been lucky enough to visit the US and I loved the diversity. But aye, its sad to see that as far as the internet and Americans I've met know. A British accent is either cockney or the queen's English. Inspite of the fact that the number of people who speaks either would be less than 1% of 1% of England. Let alone the UK and even less so Britain. When I see someone say "so British" I can only think "oh my godddd. He's soooi bird!" When they see a sparrow

@05Rudey lol as much as I enjoyed only fools. It isn't a brilliant accent. I'm lucky. A few miles north of me is Sunderland, Peterlee and the Tyne. So I just missed all the variations of Geordie!

@jessebianchi2631 I'm not sure I can picture any of the Lancashire dialects as a southern us accent. But language is funny like that!

@jessebianchi2631 really interesting. :) I do think TV has changed speech a lot. I'm a big car guy and lots of younger people use Americanisms due to the influence of YouTube and suchlike.

@05Rudey oh wow. So not quite the queens English? At least Durham isn't full Geordie. I have family in Segefild co. Durham and the trimdons. They have a hint of it. But I avoided soaking it up thankfully lol.
