  4. ***** Thats funny because i dont remember saying ALL orcas in captivity have bent dorsal fins. I simply stated that is happens due to stess, i think the stat is 90% of males in captivity have bent dorsal fins actually.

  5. ***** I think my degree in conservation and marine biology gives me a pretty good idea about water pressure actually. I can honestly say you are wrong, its because of people like you that we have majestic animals like these cooped up in tiny fish tanks. Its absolutely barbaric.

You clearly have no understanding on marine biology if you think dead fish contains the same amount of nutrients as dead fish. Lastly those tricks are not based on natural behaviours, since when is it a natural behaviour to do synchronised tricks to music? Please continue to spout crap if you like, but ultimately it is just crap you are talking. This is coming from someone who actually knows what they are talking about, quit now before you embarrass yourself anymore. Have you ever seen this animals in the wild? 'Cause i have and im telling you now its nothing like seeing them in captivity. Its awe inspiring and once you see them in a natural environment you will realise being kept in captivity for the entertainment of humans is wrong, so wrong. I rest my case, good day to you sir.

  12. ***** Seeing them in person isnt educating yourself, you should go read some scientific journals you will learn a lot from it. I have also seen these orcas in person, but this makes me no expert nor does it make you one. When you eventually open your eyes to the horrible things us as humans are putting these beautiful animals through you are going to feel very stupid indeed.

  13. ***** You are actually stupid, so if you saw them in person you got to see first hand the scrapes from other orcas on their skin? You got to see tooth erosion from their excessive biting of the pool walls, ultimately cause by boredom. You saw them receive no enrichment but being make to perform like circus monkeys or dogs to stupidly loud music (which will be enhanced through the water again causing more stress). Oh and lets not forget you saw them get hand fed DEAD fish that needs nutrient and calcium powders added to them because they no longer carry any of the nutritional value the orcas actually need. Although i would love for you to point out any natural behaviours you saw them express because im 100% certain everything you type is just bullshit.. Leans back, takes a sip of tea Prove me wrong ;)

  14. ***** Also you do know they only live to about 40 (if they are lucky) in captivity. In the wild they can live for more than 60 years.. They are a K selected species, but of course i dont expect you to understand that at all.

  17. "Dosral fins fall due to gravity" So why is it we see less than 1% of dorsal fin collapse in the wild? Due to gravitational pull created by sea pressure we would see far more than this in the wild if it was in actual fact due to 'gravity'? In captivity we see dorsal fin collapse in over 90% of our captive males. This is caused by the lack of space and enrichment they have. The very fact you think keeping these amazing animals is captivity is alright is shocking. I feel very sorry for you indeed. These animals belong in the wild, along with many other species we keep in zoos unnecessarily. Who are we to play god and say otherwise when faced with these animals who are far superior to us.

It may not sound like a lot to you but SeaWorld has actually had a drop in sales by 13%, when you think about what in a mathematical term thats a whole load of people, and that figure will keep rising. Again you probably dont know this but India has recently placed a ban on orcas being kept in captivity there. Its the first of many victories for whales no longer being kept as circus animals.
