Yeah your comment is right but why are people these days especially on reddit criticizing even smaller age gaps like a 22 year old dating an 18 year old even though both are close in age and both can be in college? I am a 22 year old guy in last year of college and I like a girl in my college who is in 1st year of college so she can be either 18 about to turn 19 soon or is already 19 now so we are only like 3 years apart. Can I ask her out? All these negative comments about even early 20s dating an 18/19 year old makes me worried. Also would you call me mentally stunted as I don't notice any maturity difference between us or is it normal?

  2.  @guardianoftides2118  I am from Bangalore in India but I am not talking about real life tho because I haven't dated before so no one said me anything about it in real life and I would prefer girls within 18-28 age range now at 22. I am talking about the website reddit which is mostly full of Americans and they criticize age gaps like this.

  3. I am a guy who turned 22 just 9 weeks ago and never had a girlfriend and its bothering me so much. I use dating apps but hardly any matches. I got matched with 2 girls 2 weeks ago. One is 18 and another one is 20 turning 21 in April but no plan of first date or anything. I had crush on 2 girls in my college few months ago but both rejected me. I do follow and chat with some girls on Instagram whom I knew in my school days and they are all 19-22 age range and I started chatting with this girl for 4 days who was my junior in my school days. Now she is 20 about to be 21 after 4 months and we only sent virtual hugs to each other today but she only sees me as a friend so idk whether I have chance with her or not.

I was worried because I have plenty of things in common to talk with this girl like about how tiring it is in college, about college assignments, skipping classes and also share Jokes and funny videos to each other and I didn't notice a huge difference in maturity between us so I thought maybe I am mentally stunted because many reddit people say how the maturity different between an 18/19 year old and a 22 year old is huge.

  8. I am a 23 year old guy who never had a girlfriend before. I did go on my first ever date 5 months ago at the age of 22 and she was 19(20 now) and had my first hug too but sadly she turned out to be toxic to me 2 weeks after the date and blocked me everywhere and I also went out with a female friend 4 months ago who is also 23 and ate in a big restaurant but idk whether to count it as a date. But almost 3 weeks ago, I got a new crush on this girl in a class where we go for preparation of exams to get into an MBA B School as I just graduated college 7 months ago but we are in different classrooms.
