The people in the comments try and layman-interpret this man like they are psychologists, as though he is in so much lifelong pain... without the perspective in realizing how expensive housing is in NYC. He was brilliantly resourceful. The guy has saved at least $2500+ a month not including electricity and internet, since he was in his "late teens now he's 60" (yes, he's deceased but let's do the math) using 18 for an initial age, I estimated that he saved $1,200,060 in housing costs (!) using a flat $2500/mo.

I will try and sum up, what I understood about this video: It would make the most sense for these people to move their boats to another area, but it seems like the boats are not in running condition. They are simply "anchored" and used as free housing. Perhaps some of the boat owners that do have an income, will save up for a tow from a running boat, before being taken away,. which will happen sooner or later. It has already happened to many boats as they have cited. Don't forget, those rich people are pressuring and harassing the government daily so you won't win.
