As a woman increases her status, she finds herself standing among a smaller and smaller pool of men she will find acceptable. So the writer is not wrong in that. The question is, how does one control that from a societal level, that underlying need for social standing and provision, that will make a woman feel that having offspring with a man is in her best interest? Feminism unintentionally does this. Feminists like to say feminism is like giving a woman a box to stand on to be economically equal to men. But in reality its digging a ditch from which men MUST stand. That makes the men standing in those ditches much less economically attractive to women. And you can see this because in EVERY culture that women are empowered in, you have crashing birthrates, harsher marital laws to force men into compliance, and eventually the quitting of marriage by men and, in many nations, an epidemic of single motherhood. I fully expect the return of bachelor taxes again to address the fertility issues, as if the issue is men. The modern woman has essentially defeated the male sex drive.

  5. Never punish a child when you are angry. More often than not you will just damage the child's curiosity. Out of my three sons, only my middle son required any for of physical discipline. He was always just so much more physically domineering over other people, even adults, his size didnt help. But as he aged the need for it lessoned. But never once did I punish him out of anger. Any parent that does needs to take a step back. Which I think is one of the issues of women in single parent house holds. Most literally cannot physically or emotionally deal with children on their own. We humans were never meant to.

Games, advertisements, television shows and movies are all made via banking. Every game studio, marketing firm, TV channel and movie studio gets loans from a bank to make a product. Go back two years. What are the interest rates? Fed rate is 0. 25%. That means a lot of these things were being made at near free money. This goes back to 2008. So for this entire period you see a slow boil that steadily increases right up to 2020 where things go nuclear. Why? The lock downs. This was used as a thing to distract attention. But the true believers dont understand that they were once again just useful idiots to further a more central cause. But now that make in the woke group are turning to bite the hands that fed them and the costs of feeding them, via interest rates has gone up, they are no longer a useful and expedient tool. They will be cast aside and ridiculed, the the anarchist left, until the next time they are needed for some societal anarchy to push whatever new agenda is needed to "progress". But those games you were talking about that went woke and did ok, well they were all panned by gamers. None of them did as good as their predecessors. And thats why you are seeing studio after studio closing. So far in the last few months gaming studios around the US and Canada have fire close to 10k people.   9. Women have to feel comfortable enough to have children. They have to feel secure. Focusing on them is counter productive. Feminism has largely raised women up by giving them a small box and making men stand in a hole. If people want to address the low fertility rate they have to find ways of making men more attractive partners. And not just comparatively to their peers. They have to overcome the social media influence. That is the only way to resolve this. Yet everyone, constantly talks about what they can do to make women want to have babies. Women will only reproduce when they find a man that they think is worth reproducing with. I mean in the long long ago, women would have babies in caves and tents and what not. That was their lived experience it was the normal. And all a man had to do to meet that security need was provide food and shelter and protection for the tribe. The studies in Japan show that the women who do have children almost all have numbers at or above replacement rate for their families. But there is a large and growing segment of women who have none. There simply arent enough "good" men to go around. But any attempt to address this will be seen as misogyny because these types of things are now seen as rights. What do you do to a population that thinks the things that are killing it are good? I am pretty sure that is where we are at. Then dump other things like inflation caused by government overspending and laws that favor the elderly over the young and you have the modern west. There was a guy a long time ago who said something that seemed comically simplistic, "The UN states that empowering women is the best way to lower the fertility rate. Everywhere it has been done the fertility rate is down and down hard. Now they are wondering how to raise it. I dont know, its a Scooby-Doo mystery?"   26. As someone who use to work of Kaiser, there is a fundamental misunderstanding by you all on how it operates. Its a three teared system. Hospitals, Clinics and Pharmacy and then the Insurance. The latter two are for profit. The hospital is not for profit. Before the AC Kaiser would use massive amounts of charity care as a tax shelter for all the profits its two other groups made. All the physicians are owners in it. There is no negotiating. The physicians dont even need to pay for their office staff. Kaiser does. Kaiser is a good system because all the treatment is in house and its already paid for. Its why Kaiser has such a low refusal rate. And most of the refusals are for non Kaiser members who want treatment there. Kaiser built its system for its members, not the general public. One of the reasons costs have increased is the State of California forcing health care providers to take Medicaid patients. The State only pays 11 cents on the dollar for treatment, (this is back in 2019) and thats assuming you did everything right. Other wise the payment request is just ignored buy the state. Then there is the annual licensing requirements for Medicare. Again in 2019 licensing for an inpatient bed on just the Medical/Surgical (non telemetry) was over 100k a year. People have no idea how much government sucks out of healthcare. That said, the profits on things like drugs are stupefying. But again, thats the governments fault. Its against the law for pharmacists to even tell patients that they could get a Rx cheaper just by paying cash. Add to it the effects of the ACA limiting charity care right offs and you have exploding costs. It was easy to see this was going to happen. In the case of United Health Care, they have publicly traded stock. And the stock price is going to be defended to the death. Personally I blame the businesses who buy insurance coverage from them. You get what you pay for and you get what you tolerate.

  30. When women become "empowered" fertility goes down. This isnt some mystery. The UN for decades stated the number one way to reduce fertility was to put women into education and the work force. EVERYWHERE that has happened fertility rates go down. One cannot expect women to work, be upwardly mobile in their career, achieve parity with their male counterparts (a huge talking point and goal in modern politics in every western nation, and have children above replacement rate. It just cannot be done. A woman has to choose. And for decades women were push from Kindergarten to graduate school to do one and not the other. We are simply seeing the results of those policies after 4 generations. Thats all this is. The only way to stabilize birth rates is clear. But no one gives up their benefits without a fight. And going forward you are going to see a larger and larger bifurcation in political officiation between men and women as a significant portion of women seek to maintain the status quo. But when the welfare state fails it wont matter. Its all going to slam shut like an empty Coors light can under foot.

There is this misconception that working class women didnt have to work and thats just wrong. Statistically you had to be upper middle class to afford to have a stay at home wife/mom. What people back before WWII did have was extended family to help raise children while a woman went to work. Post WWII women lost some of that with the people moving around, but what they did gain were husbands with a temporary boost to income due to the rest of the globe being decimated from WWII. That ended when the boomers started entering the work force, because their age cohort was so large it depressed wages. This forced even middle class women, if they hoped to keep their living standard, to work.

Wife raids were common, as there were in many places if you go back far enough. Even Rome was created on a wife raid, The Rape of the Sabine women. Many places are still as dangerous as back then. Most of these marriages are within the larger clan groups as well, so the people are known. Though I do not find them typically appealing, in these communities and cultures, these marriage arrangements may do more good than harm. The problem is that modernity and feminism in particular have made it a policy to make men less appealing as mates because incomes are equal or near equal, especially in some ones 20s. Add to that the business competition where men now not only have to compete with each other but also with women now, who in many industries get preferential treatment, it makes it harder for men to get to that level for their peer women. And those same men will happily marry a woman who makes much less than them, while the inverse is not true. I have a niece who is going through this right now and its heartbreaking. A smart and intelligent woman will not have children until she feels safe and secure. But our current social environment makes that extremely hard. Meanwhile the maladjusted women still do whatever.

From the point of mining materials to the point of end point production, including building the machines that mined the material in the first place. At that moment you have reached a post scarcity society. The human element is removed. So cost drops to zero. We are a long way away from that though in my opinion. But with the speed of technological progress, we might be closer than I think.

That is a direct consequence of decades of pro female preferences in every aspect of the western world. You might be right about automated transport. maybe. But those farms, which are huge and in the middle of no where and already on marginal land, are already barely profitable. Throw in infrastructure that is already falling apart and in the future with massive deficits and declining population, most of those areas will go back to dirt or gravel roads. That makes transport in some times of the year not only near impossible but more expensive. The issue with looking at things in the future is thinking that everything will stay the same. Everything is going to fall apart. We just cant afford it. AI wont fix that. Respectfully. So in the end, smaller farms that are more self sustainable with good farming practices will have to come back. AI will be included but it wont take over. Farming on marginal land will disappear. If anything it will go back to being pasture. But even then, the margins on pasture cattle are so slim, even today, most wont even believe it. Average pasture raised beef brings in just 200 bucks profit on a good year. That for a 3 year investment. Thats awful risky. And as we have seen recently with Swine and Foul, both of those are no longer safe in large feedlots. My small ten acre farm brings in a good profit, last year near 90k. They key is finding the right markets. Perhaps AI will help in that regard too, with the data crunching.

The tax reform act of 1969 changed a lot of things that most people are ignorant of. At the same time the baby boomers swamped entry level positions, due to their age cohort size, and stifled income growth. It did so much so that women then had to chose between a lower standard of living or to work full time. Its why as the boomers retire, around 2020, we saw massive wage inflation that will spike periodically over the next decade as the last of the boomers cycle out. The only thing that might stop wage inflation is adoption of AI but even then, for the workers that are left, their incomes will increase if there is a limited number of individuals who can do it. Throw in additional things like massive amounts of legal immigration post 65 and an absolute tsunami of illegal immigration in the 1970s and 80s you have your answer.

And those who do have a more positive fertility rate, say three or four are dropped down massively by those women. The data either intentionally or unintentionally obfuscate this very known issue. The Japanese study (I cannot recall the name) of women who were married, most did have at least 2 if not three or more kids, while nearly a third of women remained unmarried and had zero. This greatly effects total fertility. The question of the later should be why. I think a lot of people who look at this are missing the forest through the trees.

Its just its such a small amount in areas outside this because there are more hospitals that handle obstetric care in those states. I believe there were only one or two OB/GYNs in South Dakaota in the 2010s. So you would have a lot of patient movement for services.

With a massively decreasing population, output needs will be massively less. So much so that input costs of many items will make them so expensive they will just disappear. This, more than AI, will destroy entire job sectors. Things like basic legal, record keeping, and anything that is data driven will be taken over. But most of those fields have already been culled when the PC came into being. So the percentage of people effected will be much less. Then there is the issues with AI outright lying to the user as well as writing its own code to prevent modification to itself. I fully expect there to be massive legal constraints placed on AI. They simply wont be allowed to do many jobs.

A lot of people had the same issues with alcohol in the late 1800s because of how powerful alcohol became with new brewing techniques. But most of them died off, now folks can, generally speaking, handle their drink better.

As a woman is able to earn more, they become satiated, similar to what porn does to many men. A man has to find a way to jump that initial chasm that is the physical attraction barrier. And as more people are obese and overweight that becomes ever more difficult. I'd argue that men cant rely on the government for the above reason, they might pass the attractiveness test, but when the woman finds out they are not able to boost the financial security or social status, the connection goes no farther than a physical one, which as you pointed out has a very negative effect on the woman downstream for future long term relationships. Romantic relationships becomes hard at that point. Then throw in lack of social skills becomes everyone has their face in their phone. And you just have compounding effects. I've really worked hard on that with my 3 sons. Each seems to do well with women. The girls and women they have dated though, few I would want in my family.   141.  @didles123  Men and womens suffering dont have to be mutually exclusive or a contest like they are here in the west. One only has to look at countries, like Venezuela and the former Yugoslavian Republic to understand what I am talking about. But I am going to guess you have never been to either of those two places.

  143.  @erikkovacs3097  my sons are well adjusted. I spent a lot of time with them when they were young preparing them for the challenges of life. Adversity need not harm you. With the proper foundation it can even make you better. My oldest is in the world and has excellent relationships with women. My youngest just graduated from high school two years early and is considering his options. Both seem better off without the toxic influence of their mother. That said I encourage them to stay in contact with her. She does her best to make that difficult.

  145.  @erikkovacs3097  never saw your post. My oldest had a real anger issue because of what happened, he was old enough to understand what happened. But he worked through it. My youngest graduated high school at 16 and has had a girlfriend since he was 14. Both are fine and civil with their mother.

  146.  @ElizabethGeiger-ye1sf  I did compensate her, by paying for her education. She now works in the high energy fast based world of being a orthodontic receptionist. Again, that was her choice. Me I got to retire at 45. That's what life is, a series of choices and trade offs. But you can hate me. I can take it.

  148. Marriage isnt becoming more popular. What it is is becoming more rare. And rarity has a value all of its own. That said, the percentage of marriageable men is massively in decline. Everyone knows this. But the percentage of marriageable women is also in free fall. Look at the rates of obesity and mental health issues in women. Who wants that as the mother of your children? That combined with the men who are viewed as "good" being in short supply is why marriage is viewed as a positive again. Lets not forget the huge jump in divorces that happened in the pandemic. Modernity isnt kind to monogamous couples. Only the most resolute can survive. So in that you are correct. This is just another culling event.

  150.  @VancouverInvestor  Nah you need to make sure the AI is being honest and coded right. They are already finding AIs are being intentionally being deceptive and writing their own worm programs to regress program updates to them. They are already practicing self defense.
