  1. People still dont understand the effects of the 1965 Medicare law. It completely changed the way medicine is practiced in the US. Then add, EMTALA and HIPAA. If you saw how physicians in a lot of emergency rooms diagnosed patients your heads would pop. There are good docs out there though.
