  1. We had this same phenomena in the Marine Corps. Men would hitch up with local ladies. It was said they won the ticket to the Land of the Great PX. This is probably not dissimilar to what happened when farming spread across the world and hunter gatherer tribes saw their women leave the tribe for the relatively stable life of a farmer. At least this is what genetic evidence has shown. Whether it was choice or by force, thats speculation. I would argue this is why women are often pro immigration, male immigration. It would boost their chances of finding a better man. But gone to the extreme it causes a drought of jobs reducing the total attractiveness of males in general since only a few can really succeed, the "where have all the good men gone" type thing. Even here in the US, the number one supporter of unfettered immigration is white women. I bet you would see this attitude change when women become the sex that is immigrating more to women. And that map of the US at 18:00, that really explains the housing market.
