Never punish a child when you are angry. More often than not you will just damage the child's curiosity. Out of my three sons, only my middle son required any for of physical discipline. He was always just so much more physically domineering over other people, even adults, his size didnt help. But as he aged the need for it lessoned. But never once did I punish him out of anger. Any parent that does needs to take a step back. Which I think is one of the issues of women in single parent house holds. Most literally cannot physically or emotionally deal with children on their own. We humans were never meant to.
