  1. What we are seeing here is the decline of the US Dollar. Inflation since 2016 is a cumulative total of about 36%. But you only come to 36% inflation using the Feds more modern inflation calculator. But if you use the old method of inflation calculation, like they did back in the 80s, you come to about 72% total inflation over that same period. You can look at vehicle prices the same way. In 2016 I bought a Ford F 150 for 38k. That same vehicle today would cost almost 60k. We are just seeing the devaluation of the US dollar. That said, an algorithm using data that people couldnt use without colluding with each other should be against the law. It gives those people who use it, an unfair market advantage. The job of the government isnt to pick winners and losers, its to make sure the market is fair and impartial.
