@MrSpecialbill Democrats never cared about the border. They got Reagan to do the 86 amnesty with a promise to massively increase border security and then told him to go screw. Its why Republicans have never trusted Democrats politically since. It and the Republicans impeaching Clinton are the two main sources of all the political animus between the two parties, even if both sides have forgotten.

There was a slow shift by the democrats prior to Occupy wall street. It accelerated dramatically after though. Clinton was a democrat, hes the one who opened the door to China and then anyone who wanted to sold out. And a lot of Democrats, including Pelosi did along with many Republicans.
