Many of us are opposed to intervention because we know nothing will come from it. Congress, since WWII, has only allowed half measures. I lost a lot of friends during the GWOT. I spent a lot of time away from home. I dont want that for the young bucks in the military today. Fighting low intensity wars, politicized at home, with no resolution planned or wanted. Its just a waste of blood and treasure. Now if we were going to go in there and just "de revolutionize" that country and return sanity to Persia, I think we might be able to get buy in from the other local nations. But the US should not take the lead.
