Asmon is wrong right off the bat. The police do not hold people accountable. The D.A.s do. The D.A.s, who are elected, decide who gets prosecuted not the cops. The cops only arrest people. And even then they are given directives from the political people in charge, the head of the police, the D.A. and the mayor on what type of crime to go after. The thing he doesnt get, and what most people get, that police only enforce the political will of the elected office holders. Thats why this kind of thing only happens in certain places. I am not sure how more people cant see this or understand it at this point.
