If the actual content creators got the revenue from the ads I would watch them. Not even going to lie about that. As far as Asmons last point about harming the earnings, the Atari v Colecovison lawsuit in the 1980s when colecovison had its atari emulator attachment, stated that Atari had no right to sue. Atari still made money from the games being sold. One could argue that if Google is still selling the data their business isnt being harmed. Settled law.

@seanemery6019 its not bunk. You just dont like my point. which is fine. You dont have to. But that is my point. If a content creators content is demonetized, which youtube has a right to do, then they shouldnt be making money off it. Especially when they retroactively remonitize it after the majority of people have already watched it. The creator should get that money back. And they dont currently.

@seanemery6019 explain to me how there are ads on videos that are demonetized?

@TheWalkThrewer sure I would. Many youtube channels are literally just ads. Most of the hiking channels I watch are literally all ads for new gear. I think its amusing you know what other people will and wont do though.

@seanemery6019 then it was my mistake for misunderstanding. I think it depends on the channel. But some videos get demonitized almost as soon as they drop and then after a day or two, when most of the subs have already viewed it gets put back into monetization. The whole time there are ads. Now if YouTube gave back that ad revenue I would be of the mind that yea everyone shoukd have to watch ads. But they don't. Personally I don't care if it's one in ten or one in a thousand. It's an ethical standpoint. YouTube knows they are doing it. The question is if it's a corporate policy of if it's personal policy somewhere in middle management.
