There is so much space. In just the state of Texas you have enough room to give 171 million people their own acre of land. So you can fit half the US population in the state of Texas with enough land for them to grow all the food they need to live, per person, so a family of four would have 4 acres.

@Tespri Sure its true. Native peoples lived and farmed those lands for thousands of years. But just because you dont know how to do it, it cant be done. How self centered do you have to be?

This cycle is nearing its conclusion. But this cycle is different. For the first time the world is globally interconnected. That has never really happened before. But this typically happens every 250 - 300 years. Nations rise grow strong and collapse. Rinse and repeat. But post WWII lifted most developed nations. And post Soviet collapse lifted every nation. That plus how the internet and cell phones link everyone our society, even if insulated in nation states, has become truly global. The collapse will be as well. The question is without a torch holder, will this collapse be like the dark ages after the fall of the Roman Empire or the Bronze Age collapse or will it be gentler?

Thats because of the economic drag of excessive taxes and deficit spending. Add fiat currency and inflation, which is what supports deficit spending, and you have the reason for inflation. Thing is people, governments and corporate interests do not want the gravy train to end. But its going to regardless.
