  1. A lot of people dont understand the people leading Iran. They want to bring back the 12th Mahdi and Jesus. To do that they believe they need to have an apocalyptic battle with rivers of blood. And they are willing to destroy their own nation to bring that about. They are insane religious zealots. Its why Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia have allied with Israel to fight them. They absolutely would use nukes to bring that about.
