  1. I recently flew back to California for family business. I met up with some old friends there who told me insurance companies were dropping them because their roof and lichen, mold or other debris such as leaves on them. Insurance companies are not flying drones over them and requiring them to have them washed by a professional company less they lose their coverage. Met a lady on the way back who had property in Lake Tahoe and Folsom, who simply could not get any coverage for her properties, and the state insurance only covers a portion so technically she is in violation of the mortgage laws that require home owners with mortgages have insurance. Eventually this lack of insurance protection is going to cause housing prices to collapse, banks wont be able to safely lend anymore, and is one of the darker sides to ever increasing property values.
