Remember when they started saying this in the 90s? Well thirty years is almost here and shock, its still 30 years out. Just like fusion. I cant believe people still take this people seriously.

@stevenwolf3201 Earth isnt round. It's a spheroid. The Earth is not symmetrical so it cannot be round. Words mean things, they aren't magic spells.

Scotty Doesn't Know yea, the great coming ice age. The they adjusted the data. It's weird, when they made scrubbers for coal plants suddenly co2 became a poison. Weird.

So you will want the draft age and the voting age increased to 21 then I assume? Maybe even the age to drive?

It is isnt it. Its almost like there are two diametrically opposed groups in this country on a myriad of topics. Mid terms should make things interesting, no?

@douglasgw1992 I mean I see both sides of it. Perspective matters. Its kind of suspect for the government, who failed to go in and end the situation now wants people to give up their weapons that they themselves could use to protect their kids. But as I said I understand your perspective too. There is a functional way to remove peoples rights to weapons, amending the Constitution. Yet no one talks about it. All around this is a mess though; for the victims, the survivors, and the rest of us to deal with the issue.

@douglasgw1992 I wasn't speaking about his speech, just the people posting. I think, and while I don't completely agree with him, that his speech was the most "presidential" one in probably 30 years. I'm not sure if that speaks more about the politicians or the electorate. But either way it's not a good thing. Also, the man is an actor. So he has good oration skills.

@Charagrin you are transparent. Go sperg elsewhere.

A cooler climate would be drier not wetter. In order for their to be more precipitation you need more heat to cause evaporation. Colder weather reduced evaporation.

@danielguth5777 Warm air from southern latitudes highly moisture laden mixes with cold dry Arctic or continental air masses and you get precipitation. Cold air cannot hold the water that warm air can. Its physically impossible so it precipitates out. If it is cold enough and depending on the altitude, you get snow. You can also cause precipitation by placing an obstacle in front of the air mass, like a mountain. This will compress the air cooling it and squeeze out moisture. There are other ways snow occurs though. This is a simple explanation, but I can get more complicated if you wish. Is this satisfactory to you?
