A guy by the name of Sargon of Akkad, King of Akkad, King of Sumer, and King of the Universe (his actual titles), first started out as a royal gardener in the service of king Lugal-zage-zi who he eventually overthrew. I always laugh when I heard that gardener quote. The man who created the worlds first empire was a gardener.
