  1. That house that is price at $184k in 2023 dollars would be worth $68K in 1985 dollars. My parents bought their first home when I was 10 in 1985 in California for $89k. It was 200 sq feet bigger though. That price seems decent, though considering Texas real estate taxes, that tax burden has got to be very large indeed.
