  1. Pre WWII only about 45 percent of Americans owned their own homes. The rest rented. Post WWII, with the creation of the suburbs that shot up to between 62 and 64%. Right now we are right there are 66%, though I suspect the number is much higher near 67.5%. History shows that expanding the number north of 64 percent always leads to people losing their homes. Thats the ceiling. And more than that and you are entering overbought territory.
