  2. I am not sure why people think there is a lot of demand for homes. By every metric home ownership is near all time highs. Currently almost 66% of Americans own homes. Anytime the American home market has gone over 62-63% of Americans owning homes we have a correction in prices. Do a higher percentage of Americans than that want to own homes, maybe. But they are not financially stable enough to make that happen and should NOT under any circumstances buy a home. Its not good for them, its not good for the market and its not good for the tax payers. Throw in inflation, realistic interest rates (which are still near historic lows) and changes in demographics there really isnt much real actual demand. Just a lot of people looking to pick some meat off the bones of others.
