  1. What she said is true. The problem is that women fail to understand that about themselves once they are older for the vast majority of men. What are men suppose to do, lower their standards for a wine addicted, emotionally and physically damaged tatted up single mom? Both sides can be right in this. But few will admit it.

  2.  @fredneecher1746  I would question if it is "masculine" though. In many other cultures it would be considered masculine to stand up and beat her into submission for insulting a man. Or hold her male relative responsible for the slight taken. In other cultures those men and women sitting in the same room would be considered taboo since they were not related. Often what we consider masculine and feminine is layered with culture. I often think thats why many of the masculine and feminine ideals are so contorted. The last few hundred years have seen massive amounts of cultural mixing.
